I read one of  article from one of the daily news paper in Dubai it's written about how many nationalities in Dubai and it's pretty impressive for me, around 202 nationalities in Dubai it makes Dubai to be a diversity country. He wrote one of the song lyrics of  Jhon Lennon called IMAGINE " imagine all the people, living life and free " and it's Dubai. The first time i came here on 2007 i never thought of this, so many people from around the world they came to Dubai with different purpose either for work, pleasure or study. Home sick??? That for sure for everybody who live far away from home, mostly their miss homemade food but if you came to Dubai with work purpose most of the time you don't have time to cook. Some people they can't eat any food which is they don't know and what they can do?? Junk Food that's only food they can eat. For example my self i came from the part of south East Asian region who love spicy and there is some specify food i can't find in the other asian restaurant, i really love "Karedok”  this is Indonesian traditional salad made by raw vegetable and peanut sauce.

Where i can find this food..? Should i go back to Indonesia? Nope!

There is some places in Dubai i can find karedok like in karama there is so many Indonesian,Malaysian,Singaporean restaurant  such as Betawi Cafe, Java Padang Cafe, Dapoer Kita,sari Nusa or Singapore Deli. Every restaurant they have their own unique so when they customer come there not only for eating but also for socialize. For example ..

 Betawi Café, This tiny restaurant located in 4B street behind Ministry of Health karama they're serving variety of  Indonesia cuisine with very good price and warmth environment,  for Indonesian people like me this restaurant are heaven.

This small restaurant provides a variety of dishes ranging from Appetizer, Main corse and dessert. Such  as mpek mpek for Appetizer mpek mpek  made by fish and tapioca, Serve with yellow noodles and a dark rich sweet and sour sauce . And for main course you can choose

And for main course you can choose such as Nasi Padang, Soto betawi, Karedok, Gado - gado etc.

For dessert you can choose Es Teller, Es teller es teler or we can called it Indonesian fruit cocktail, it's made with Avocado, Cincau ( as known as grass jelly ), jack fruit and served with coconut milk, sweetened condense milk, and cocopandan syrup.
