The Palm Jumeirah is in the shape of a palm tree. It consists of a trunk, a crown with 16 fronds, and a surrounding crescent island that forms an 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) long breakwater. The island is 5 by 5 kilometres (3.1 by 3.1 mi) and its total area is larger than 800 football pitches. The crown is connected to the mainland by a 300-metre (980 ft) bridge and the crescent is connected to the top of the palm by a subsea tunnel. Over the next few years, as the tourism phases develop, The Palm Jumeirah is touted as soon to be one of the world’s premier resorts. The Palm Island is the self-declared 'Eighth Wonder of the World'. The island doubled the length of the Dubai coastline.

Fabulous location !! Just came back from a weeks holiday with friends. The Jash Falqua apartments are amazing. Our apartment was overlooking the front of the building. To get to the beach was literally 10 steps out of the back door.....looking at the Burg Al Arab. The furnishings in the apartment were very comfortable. The down side was that we had a 2 bedroomed apartment with a guest/maids room for 5 people. Beware, this room is so small, there is only room for a bed and no furniture. There was no window in the room so felt oppressive, but it did have its own en suite shower room and toilet. It is only suitable for a young adult. The kitchen was equipped to a basic standard, not enough drinking glasses. Remember to take a plug adaptor with you, european to english as the hair dryer and iron had european plugs. The shop was extremely well stocked and the Bidibondi restaurant was excellent. They were located under the apartment block. So no need to go shopping. Dont worry about transport, the taxi service is extremely efficient and cheap. No need to book, you never have to wait, they are constantly driving by. Dont hesitate to book these apartments they are excellent value for money.

I am an owner of a Shoreline Apartment, and I haven't seen any drastic reduction in the maintenance fees as some of the other posters have said. All I have noted is Nakheel adding yet another fee in an attempt to stay afloat. This plan is ill-conceived and will result in an overall deterioration of the Shoreline property values.

To be charged for a beach access, Nakheel must make Shorline beach and walking area are CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND WELL MAINTAINED. For example, at the walking area lights are not working by 6.30 pm parents can hardly to see where and how their children are playing. Beach is not clean: cigarettes, empty bottles, trush from food, etc are everywhere.
To charge such amount Residents should live on luxury beach.
